While some network devices can be very intrusive and interfere with normal network behavior, we follow a strict do-no-harm philosophy. We believe network control functions are best suited for the router/firewall already in the data path.

- monitor-io does not use ARP spoofing or ARP cache poisoning
- monitor-io does not change your router settings
- monitor-io is not a firewall and will not block any traffic from the Internet
- monitor-io does not look at your personal information or any data going across your network
- monitor-io does not prevent access to any websites
- monitor-io does not block devices from accessing your network (although we monitor what is or is no longer connected to it)
